Whether your charity is big or small, ExpensePlus' cloud-based fund accounting software can save you time and money. As a verified ExpensePlus bookkeeper and consultant business, our services require your organisation to either already be using ExpensePlus or be willing to migrate to their system, which we can help you with. We are not part of ExpensePlus, but have extensive user experience with their product and are certified Bookkeepers, Advisors and Trainers on the software. We enjoy a great working relationship with their team and strongly support the excellent work they do in helping churches and charities manage their finances.

Meet the team

Pete Marfleet

I have worked in the charity sector as a finance officer for almost a decade, gaining extensive experience in fund accounting and charity finance regulations as a result. I have also served on a leadership team of a church for over 8 years, so I understand the unique challenges of managing medium sized charity accounts, often with only a small or volunteer team.

Over the years that I’ve worked in this sector, it’s been clear that many third sector organisations grow to a point where they are too large to run their own finances off a spreadsheet anymore, but still way too small to be able to justify a staffed finance team with the relevant experience. For some, they find a volunteer who has both the experience and time to give to them, an ideal but increasingly rare solution.

For those without that option, we are pleased to offer charities a cost-effective alternative to in-house finance expertise. I lead a dedicated team of experienced bookkeepers who provide not just reliable bookkeeping but also support to the finance officer role within your charity. Every client that uses our BookkeepingPlus service is assigned a primary and secondary bookkeeper, ensuring that you will always have a familiar face who knows your charity and your finances.

Robina brings over 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and the charity sector. She has a proven track record of supporting organisations with their finances and is especially skilled in using ExpensePlus, where her expertise helps charities get the most out of the software. Known for her diligence, discretion, and attention to detail, Robina combines technical skill with a personal touch. Her background in administration and charity finance makes her a trusted and valuable addition to our team.

Miriam Hatfield

Miriam Hatfield has a strong background in accounts management and financial administration, built across a range of businesses where she has consistently delivered accurate, well-organised financial records and streamlined processes. Christian Wayela has a rich and varied finance background, having built senior-level experience at a global professional services firm before moving his career focus to charity finance. Pete's been super helpful and supportive whilst we volunteers at church have been getting to grips with ExpensePlus.
